Il Mattino is an Italian daily newspaper, founded on March 16, 1892, in Naples, Italy, by the journalists Edoardo Scarfoglio and Matilde Serao. Based on 2008 survey data from Accertamenti Diffusione Stampa, Il Mattino is the most read daily newspaper in Campania, and one of the most read in southern Italy. According to Audipress 2011, the newspaper has 975.000 readers and is the first of South Italy.
